I graduated from Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles in 1975 with a BFA and began my career in Los Angeles doing photography for a catalog production house.
An opportunity came my way, which brought me to Phoenix in the fall of 1975. After a few months working for a local studio I started Rick Gayle Studio,Inc. I have been self-employed for nearly thirty years and I have produced commercial work for practically every type of client you could imagine. I also have been producing rights managed stock photography since 1993 for Corbis and before that I produced stock images for The Stock Market. I’m a board member of the local chapter of the A.S.M.P and I am charged with all things regarding education both to the professional and to the student population involved in photography studies.
